First off let me tell you Bryan and I hate driving in Boston so we probably will not be moving there anytime soon, but all and all the trip was wonderful and we had a great time. I'm going to give a quick recap day by day so I don't forget :) So bare with me.
Tuesday/Wednesday Morning 5:00 est: Bryan and I met up with Kaci and dropped off Grace. We went to a cute little coffee place in the Mesa Riverview where I had a coconut italian soda that I told the guy tasted like suntan lotion. He didn't really appriciate the complement, and thought I was a little wierd and I dug his perceptiveness. The place was cute and it had a painting that was called serenity that I really liked. We got to the airport, checked in at the curb, and walked to our gate. There was noone in the security line. We ate a bit and I found a neck pillow that covers my entire neck so I look like someone who has been in a horibile accident. It's good though because it helps me from letting my head fall in front. We took sleeping pills so we could sleep on the flight, but the flight ended up being only 3 hours. We were 45 minutes early. So when we landed Bryan and I were kinda out of it. By the time we got down to baggage claim our bags were out and no one was left. We hoped on the shuttle to grab the budget car after the whole bus debacle on Tuesday and drove to Cape Cod. By the time we got to Jim and Kyle's we were exausted so we found a room with my parents stuff and crashed until the family showed up at around 1.
At around 1 we said hi to everyone ate some lunch and took a walk around the cape. Pictures of the walk can be found at: http://www.lovelesschristian.com/gallery/walkingcapecod. After a while we got back and got a tour of Falmouth and Woods Hole. We went to a Arts and Crafts Fair that Bernie and Bryan barly lived through and some neat places in Woods Hole. http://www.lovelesschristian.com/gallery/tennis I bought some lovely Cranberry Jalapeno and Garlic Jam (it can be ordered at: http://www.cranberryharvest.com/) at the fair and returned to hang out on the deck at Jim and Kyle's and wait for Meara to show. Meara arrived we had a lovely dinner of Bluefish and Corn on the Cob. We learned all about Corn Rakes ( http://www.kitchenshoppe.com/istar.asp?a=6&id=260522&color=&size=&subsize=) and had a great seasoning of lime, cumin, cayenne pepper, and salt. We also got to hang out with Arwen and Brandon who just got engaged to each other. Oh and had Dark and Stormys. I need the recipe for those. (http://www.goslingsrum.com/recipe_detail.asp?RecipeID=192) They are Ginger Beer, Rum and lime...They are pretty nice. After Dinner Meara requested getting Ice Cream at Smitty's Too and we went. Now if you have not been around my family when it comes to deserts know this...They like them a lot. The gooeyer the better. Now this ice cream place was maybe a 10x10 storage room with a small deck and a chalkboard with like 80 flavors of ice cream. My family was in heaven. Notice Mary in front of the chalk board and how happy she is:
I don't remember what everyone else got, but I got the coconut and ginger ice cream. It was awesome and I was sad that I didn't go back for more. One thing I noticed in Cape Cod is there is a lot and I mean a lot of ice cream places. If I wasn't lactose intolerent I would have gained many many pounds.
Thursday we woke up hung out on the deck, went to the beach. Bryan, Joel and I all got to be taken sailing around the bay and I am proud to say I am the only one who did not fall off or head into the rocks. I was the perfect sailor according to my uncle Jim. More pictures can be found at:

After hanging on the beach we had lunch at Woods Hole Country Club. (Now this is the place that Jim and Kyle are members of and apparently the Kennedys couldn't get a membership.) The views were wonderful and I had a great corn and shrimp bisque. Pictures can be found at : http://www.lovelesschristian.com/gallery/woodshole It was nice to just hang out with Kyle, Joel, Arwen, Brandon and Bryan. After lunch Bryan and I went to Hyanis to check out the JFK mueseum. It was not worth it, but when we got back to town we hung out in a great bar called the Silver Lounge. The bartender was super friendly and so were the patrons. I highly recomend it. My dad made steaks for dinner and I made a cream cheese and the cranberry jam dip for an appetizer. It was pretty good.
Friday: I felt a bit dehidrated but Kyle got us out of bed and we went to the beach club. This is a private beach (like jim and kyle's) where the members pay dues to rent a 4x4 condo where you can store chairs and change. http://www.lovelesschristian.com/gallery/blackbeach We walked to Black Beach and Kyle and I discussed the issues surounding feminism and advising students. Afterwards the tennis foursome went to play tennis and we hung out on the beach. We found out that we had our own personal lifeguards at this point, which was interesting and Bryan was amazed by the whole thing. Later Bryan took me to the Knitting Garden a yarn store in Cape Cod and I bought some yarn. For the rest of the day we hung out on the deck and on the beach until Meara came home and we had a birthday party for her. It was a lot of fun and Bryan and I were sad to go, but Boston awaited....
So we left Jim and Kyle's at around 9:30 to drive to Boston and our hotel....and I'm going to post this so you don't have to wait another day...I will write more about boston tomorrow.
