November 2009 Broken Motorcycle, Grand Canyon, and Seperate Thanksgiving Adventures

In Novemeber the motorcycle broke on our trip to Congress on 89-A. On that trip we ate at a crappy pie resturant in Prescott that I do not recomend. It was overpriced and the food was not very good. I think the name of the place was Berry's Pie shop or something like that. Yuck. So after our subpar lunch we drove to walmart and picked up gear oil. We stopped every 20 miles to check on the bike and there it sat until December when Bryan fixed it.
The weekend before Thanksgiving one of Bryan's sets of Grandparents (Fred and Virginia) came up to see us with Jill, Bob, and the Kids. We had a great time and went to the Grand Canyon.
(See we are having a good time although we are cold)
Virginia got us on the tour of the Kolb Studio and home which was very very cool. The Rangers apparently give tours every day during the winter season. They are all different tours and I highly recomend checking it out if for nothing else but for this view......

    The canyon not me...
And seeing showers that are made for people of my stature. (notice the new haircut as well)
It was a great trip getting to show Fred and Virginia the Grand Canyon for the first time. We rounded it off with another trip to the Cameron Trading Post with a side adventure helping some people who had no spare tire, and no ablity to text out in the middle of nowhere. Where was thier ham radio when they needed it?
When we got home we played Beetles Rockband and I don't think I've ever seen Jill laugh so hard at Bryan in my entire life.
Thanksgiving was interesting this year as Bryan went hunting with Ray and did not get anything and Amanda spent time with Linda and Grace. Amanda made 3 pies and black bean fritters and turkey was not fixed. Instead we had ribs on Wednesday night.
