This weekend made me sunburnt. Really really sunburnt. Like wake up in the middle of the night because my back is soooo sunburnt. Ow. But what made me sunburnt (besides the sun of course and yes I did put on sunscreen) makes me really happy. My garden is officially planted for the year. I have Rubarb and Eggplant as well as, Leeks, Shallots, Soybeans, Greenbeans, Asperagus, Squash, Cucumbers, Zuchinni, Acorn Squash, Tomatos (Lots of different types including red, yellow, green and pink), Peppers, Peas, Radishes, Carrots, Lettece, Strawberries, Rasberries, Blackberries, and lots and lots of herbs. Expect Olive Oil again this year :).
The rasberries and blackberries were moved to the drainage ditch we have in the back this year, because the rasberries started to take over the garden. I had them in pots last year, but the roots grew out of the pots and into the soil. I had to pull out all the new suckers and replant them in the ditch. This should work well because A. They get all the rain runoff from the land that was going towards our house and B. We want them to go crazy there so we have some greenary in the back. Lets hope we get a good harvest and I can maybe make some jam. Yea jam!
I also put in half a garden path made of stepping stones that Bryan and I created ourselves (The rest of the stones should be ready tonight) and we are finishing up the drip system tonight. The reason we are putting in the drip system tonight is because we looked everywhere and can't find the extras from the kit we bought last year and since our garden is super different this year we can't use the same configuration.
This weekend was super productive and Bryan let me go to Hancock Fabric's as well. They are closing and I was able to buy some great fabric for half off. I'm currently struggling with my sewing again and am trying to finish a dress before Kelly's Graduation on Wednesday night. The pattern says it's easy and I should be done in two hours. The pattern lied, but I'm moving along and hopefully will have a cute dress done by tomorrow night :). I did however finish my snowflake scarf and Bryan and I had a discussion about getting a dog. We keep going back and forth on that one...it is financialy irresponsible, but it'd be nice to have a dog around. Who knows what we'll decide.

"Financialy irresponsible?" Do it for the love, baby! Just drive down to Leupp and pick up whichever one you like. Then take it to Plateauland (do they still do clinics in Leupp?) and get the works -- surgery, dewormer, mange treatment, mite treatment, vaccines. Trust me, you'll need it.
Also, if you enjoy doing things like caring for a garden then for the love of god don't have children! You were speaking a completely different language to me.
