Hi all,
Looks like I spoke too soon when I said that all of my plants survived the snow. I lost my Legend Tomato and the Table Ace squash and a couple of my cucumbers look a little peeked. All and all not too bad though.
Yesterday Bryan was home sick (he went to the doctor and they say he still has his sinus infection from January, yes January) I told him that if he doesn't get better and let me get a full nights rest he's fired. Actually I accidently woke him up as I made angry hand motions in his general direction in the middle of the night. I think he got the picture. So he went to the doctor and they drugged him up.
He also figured out how Gracie was trying to escape and fixed that. When I came home he worked on the driplines for the garden while I cooked dinner (boring chicken with the last of my herb butter from last year's garden) We're going to finish the rest of them tonight and then watering the garden will be something I only worry about when it's super hot. Oh and I saw that the Green Zebra Tomato had it's first tomato and my soybeans, peas (the one's I planted), and asperagus have all pushed their way up. I'm going to have to make another pea support system for them, but I'll take pictures tonight to show everyone. I'm so excited I can't wait for fresh produce that Bryan won't eat!
Other than that it seems like Grace, Bryan and I are settling down into a routine. We left her this morning at seven and I gave her a kong and she settled right down. She also woke me up for our walk at 5 and after I let her out of her kennel she let me go back to sleep for a few minutes. We even got a few sessions of sit, stay and laydown in. We've got puppy class at Petsmart on Saturday and her shots on Thursday so we should be on our way to a well-mannered puppy soon. Not that she's not well-mannered now I'd just like to keep her this way. :)
I also added my knitting tracker to the blog, which makes me realize that it is 6 months until Christmas and my knitting is really far behind so look for my numbers to go up soon. Ok I think that's all that's going on right now.
