Kidney Stones Suck...this is an update...I'm not whining I swear
Last Saturday (March 26th) I was working on some work in Bryan's office when I started getting some wierd cramping. It got progressively worse, and since we didn't know if it was worth going to the hospital or not we called the on-call nurse with Blue Cross/Blue Shield she said to go to the hospital. Unfortunately from the moment I hung up the phone the pain got expedentually worse, so that I was moaning and had tears running down my face as we tried to get me to the car. The car ride to the hospital was the most painful experiences I've had in my life and by the time I got to the hospital I was ready to throw up in the lobby. Which I did, and did you know they have these awesome throwup bags at the registration desk? They do. So we immediately get taken back and they tell me that I probably have kidney stones. They get me hooked up to an IV and ask me about the nausia....as I am throwing up I tell them that the nausia isn't bad, it's the pain. Ha! So I get lots of drugs and fluids and get released. Bryan is told that I need to drink lots of fluids to help me pass the stones. However, he's afraid I'm going to vomit, so he trys to limit my beverage intake. Fast forward to the next day, back at the ER because I haven't been able to pee for 20 hours. Turns out I am extremely dehydrated :) I get more fluids and my mom comes up on Monday to take care of me. I'm out for an entire week. Blah I say, Blah! Funny how something as small as an apple seed can really mess you up. I know it's a bit cliche, but if you don't have your health nothing else really matters so take care of yourselves. And be sure to drink enough water!!!!!!
