    For Steve or Martha's Mom

    Here's a light refreshing drink to quench thirst on a phoenix spring day.... This is more of a smoothie or daiquiri so you're going to have to prepare for it :)

    Watermelon-Orange Fling (Because you can't have a singapore sling)

    Take one watermelon and cut it into slices or balls without the rind. Put them into single size servings of freezer bags. Freeze(this would be better if you could do it with dry ice or liquid nitrogen so the ice crystals don't get too big, but it will work with whatever...Get the kids to do this with a fire extenguisher :)). Make orange juice ice cubes. Add orange juice ice cubes, frozen watermelon balls, simple syrup or sugar to taste and some club soda or OJ. Blend. Poor into a glass and top with more club soda.

    Simple Fruit Water

    Take Honeydew or Mango and freeze it the same way you did the watermelon. Add it to club soda with a little mint:) I think you can buy this Trader Joes without the hassle.


    And the Blueberry Ginger Limeaide we were talking about yesterday Muddle Mint with sugar, blueberries, and lime to taste. grate 1/8 or more to taste fresh ginger add to glass. Top with Club soda. (Basicly you can do this with any fruit you are craving...it's just better if it is frozen)

    Oh and because you are eating pork....try procuitto and honeydew. And Popcicles.
