Between work, school, and personal life it's been a crazy couple of weeks and I have been a bad blogger. Kaci's bridal shower happened and we had a great time (pictures of it can be found on the website : http://www.lovelesschristian.com/gallery/KaciWeddingShower08 ) I made bryan a jeep cake for his man food birthday party (pictures of that can also be found : http://www.lovelesschristian.com/gallery/bryanbirthday2008 ) where we had a nacho cheese fountain, hot wings, chili, hot dogs and genrally bad for you food. The boys played Guitar Hero and left a huge mess. We finally finished cleaning up the last of the nacho cheese this weekend :) On the Sunday of Bryan's birthday weekend we (Bryan) helped our friend Mark run electrical lines in the new addition.
This last weekend we again helped Mark run electrical, I finished my wrap that I was knitting for Kaci's wedding, (yea!!! and I'll post pictures after I block it) and we got to go jeeping. It was absolutely gorgous weather in Flagstaff and I got some awesome pictures of the peaks. ( http://www.lovelesschristian.com/gallery/cindersOHV021608) Bryan also had me giggling like crazy while doing donuts in the snow (it was the off road vehicle area so we were treading lightly) I forget how much I love where we live until we get to go outside and play in it.
For those of you who know me, you might know that I advise one of the big three student organizations on NAU's campus (The Associated Students for Women's Issues). Last week was our annual performance of the Vagina Monologues which raises money to local groups to fight violence towards women and children. Usually we raise around 6k to donate and this year went really well.
Although I did spend a majority of my time last week hocking chocolate vagina pops and making sure programs and advertisements were done we were able to cut out early on Valentines day to partake in our birthday presents from Bryan's parents. We got to go to a local cooking store and took cooking lessons. We learned how to make Kailua shrimp (they were flambed) and a rack of lamb. They were both very tasty and I'm sure we'll be doing it again whether or not bryan likes it ;) but he did have a good time.
Unfortuately we couldn't make an entire night of it, because I had to be back on campus to check in on the Vagina Monologues and on Saturday Bryan and I were able to sit back and watch them. So in a way I did end up getting a dinner and a show, a hike and a "romantic picnic" for valentines day. :)
